Apple reportedly building larger 12.2 inch iPad Pro

The images suggest that the device is being built now. The company has not yet announced what the device will be officially called and the rumor mills have suggested different names like iPad Air Plus, iPad Pro and iPad Plus. Some sources report that the rear panel shown in images might not be a final version of what Apple has chosen but a dummy panel.
Looking at the image, the right size of the device is not clear but there are sources that say that the image shows that the size of the device will be larger than the large-sized iPad and that it might have a 12.2 inch display. Mac Rumors also claims that even though the quality of the image is not as clear as expected, the Apple logo at the center suggests that the device is definitely from Apple.
Cupertino still remains tight lipped about the device; however, a lot of information about the device is available from the rumor mills. It was rumored last week that the device might pack an A8X chipset which is an upgraded version of A8 chipset which is found in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. This chipset is seen under the hood of iPad Air 2 that was released last October. The device is also said to come with 2 GB of RAM and it is said to run iOS 8 in its latest version.
The iPad Pro was expected to launch as early as 2014 but the company chose iPad Air 2 instead. Other reports said that the production has been pushed to this year and so the device could be expected to launch sometime between April and June.
